I've never been a fan of Valentines Day! Mostly because I'm usually single & the whole idea of 'happy couples' having a day all them to themselves, in all honesty makes me sick! Now that I'm coupled up this Valentines Day not much has changed. While I do have the most amazing man in my life now, I don't particularly feel the need to celebrate a day, which encourages people to spend 'crazy' money on unnecessary junk! I'm not a pessimist, far from it in fact, & it's not a matter of 'can I afford it' , I just get really tired of the 'look how much money my boyfriend spent on me', 'look how big my flowers are', 'look at this ring my boyfriend got me.' I think it's materialistic, shallow & and makes some almost competitive.
So in Anti-Valentines Day fashion, I am taking a vacation with friends for the weekend ...
